[ rolls his eyes. ] I didn't plan on it.

[ the movie has finally ended, and everything has wrapped up into a near little package. hooray. there's a few moments of silence and then a blood curdling scream. oh, were you comfortable, well get fucked the both of you, because there's some horror movie playing now. it does pump the breaks... so it's not at a 10 the entire time. ]

This is my first time in this place. It's not as bad as I thought it would be. [ gives vox a sidelong smile. ] Especially for an impromptu date.

[ Jokes on you, there are bloodcurdling screams happening like all the time in the streets of Hell. It's a nice little reminder of home. ]

It could stand to be like... a hundred times cleaner. And this isn't a date.

I think most places here could... [ he just laughs. ] I'm glad we ran into each other. I needed this.

[ It's a good thing Aventurine is snuggled up to his chest so he can't see the look on Vox's face. Being needed feels like such a punch to the gut he can't find any words for a very long moment. His fingers flex against Aventurine's shoulder, holding on. ]

[ and he's glad for it too, so vox can't see the blush that creeps across his face. look, they may just be friends, but it's not like he gets this to this many people. ]

[ They're just gonna sit here like this, huh? At least until exhaustion finally takes its toll — it's been a long day, but perhaps everything that happened feels a bit lighter now.

Slowly blinks awake. There are credits rolling, and he frankly doesn't know if they're for the same movie that was playing when he dozed off or a different one. ]

Nngh. Hey, Aventurine.

[ Nudges. ]

[ the nudge makes him instinctively cling just a little bit tighter… and least until he starts to come to. if it looks like he might have been crying in his sleep… then get your eyes checked. because he probably was. ] …w- what, ‘m still tired. [ can he just duck against your chest to get away from your face? ] Five more minutes.

[ Nudges again, but gentler this time. ]

It's like four in the morning, we should probably go home.

[ . . . ] What. [ blinks, rubbing at his eyes and immediately turning away to rub at them harder. he feels his chest tighten as nods absentmindedly. ] I guess we feel asleep… who knew these crappy seats could be so comfortable.

... I think it was more the company than the location.

...that must be why it feels like I have an armrest up my ass. [ huffs a laugh. ] But how sweet. [ grins at him. ]

[ Rolls his eyes, and attempts to extract himself from his seat. ]

Are you gonna be good to make it home?

[ he's tempted to cling to vox so he can't get up... but he just lays there and lets him leave. ]

I think I'll be alright. [ he turns onto his side. ]

Offers him a hand. ]

Come on. I'll walk you.

...sure. [ takes his hand and sits up. everything feels a little wobbly since they'd fallen asleep in such a weird position, but walking it off should help. ] Not going to get weird if we hold hands this time are you?

... Nah. If you wanna hold hands, we can.

[ The continued contact is sort of nice, even if they're not snuggled up anymore. ]

Great. [ picks a stray piece of vox and flicks it into the unknown. heads back toward the lobby. ] Do you think Pride will be wondering where you got off to?

One or two of them, probably. Everyone else is either dead asleep or refusing to leave their rooms.

What about you guys? It's probably harder to tell when you've left if you can just portal somewhere.

I think it’s harder to tell in our case… and I think most of us could just use a bit of space. I had already locked myself in my room, at least for the most part. I didn’t want anybody to see me while I was still partially transformed.
